A few months ago, I tore ligaments in my ankle when in a hunting mishap. I ended up in a bandage and aircast brace and on crutches for several weeks. Because of this, I couldn't wear a regular shoe on my injured foot. I found these sandals and found that I could wear them with the bandage and brace. I ended up buying the brown ones as they matched the brown hiker I was wearing that day. I found that it also went with a brown loafer and a brown boat shoe that I had. The sandal was pretty comfortable, all things considered, and provided some protection to my injured foot, especially if I had to put it on the ground. I also liked that it felt a little bit “dressed up” instead of just being bare. Also, the placement of the straps held it securely on my foot while I was crutching. Since they were reasonably priced, I went back and picked up the black ones to wear with my black dress shoe and a black athletic shoe. I ended up wearing these daily to work, and whenever I went out someplace while my ankle healed up. I even wore the black one to a wedding and reception with the black dress shoe on my good foot. It was surprising how many people noticed and made comments on them, particularly ladies. My wife said that she thought it looked cute on my bandaged foot! Quite a few people complemented me for how I was dealing with the injury and not letting it slow me down. This was good as I ended up being on crutches and unable to wear anything else for over six weeks.
